Overcoming Invisible Battles

Sunday Sermon • Text: Ephesians 6:12 • By K. Basumatary

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world..." — Ephesians 6:12

Introduction

Today we face real battles that are often invisible. Their effects show up in our health, homes, relationships, and minds. This message opens our eyes to those spiritual realities and gives practical, scriptural steps to stand and win.

1. Invisible Battles Are Real

Paul names the enemies: principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness. These are real forces that oppose God’s people. Recognizing the enemy is the first step to victory.

2. Where Battles Begin

Every visible problem often begins in the spirit. Before sickness, depression, financial loss, or broken relationships—we must understand there was a spiritual strategy behind it.

3. Common Weapons of the Enemy

  • Deception: Lies that blind and confuse.
  • Fear: A tool to paralyze faith.
  • Distraction: Steals our focus and spiritual momentum.
  • Accusation: Attacks our identity and confidence in Christ.

4. Spiritual Weapons Given to Us

"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal..." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

  • The Word of God: Scriptures spoken against the enemy.
  • Prayer & Intercession: Changes the spiritual atmosphere.
  • The Name & Blood of Jesus: Authority and legal victory.
  • Fasting: Strengthens the spirit and breaks strongholds.
  • Praise & Worship: Releases God’s presence and confuses the enemy.

5. Putting On the Armor

Read Ephesians 6:13–17 and put on the full armor of God daily:

  • Belt of Truth
  • Breastplate of Righteousness
  • Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
  • Shield of Faith
  • Helmet of Salvation
  • Sword of the Spirit (Word of God)
Declaration:

I declare: Every invisible battle against me is defeated in Jesus’ name. I am covered by the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

6. Practical Steps to Stand Strong

  1. Start and end your day with Scripture and prayer.
  2. Use short, daily declarations from key verses (Mark 11:23; Psalm 91).
  3. Worship for 10–20 minutes to shift the atmosphere when attacks come.
  4. Fast when there are persistent spiritual issues (seek pastoral guidance).
  5. Join an intercessory group or trusted accountability partners.

Conclusion

Remember: you fight from victory, not for it. Christ has already defeated the powers of darkness. Walk in the authority and provision He has given you, and you will overcome.

The Book of Raziel vs. The Watchers — Holy Wisdom and Forbidden Knowledge

The Book of Raziel vs. The Watchers — Holy Wisdom and Forbidden Knowledge The Book of Raziel vs. The Watchers A biblical-mystical study: Holy wisdom and forbidden knowledge — expanded teaching for pastors and students of the mysteries. Throughout history humanity has been fascinated with hidden knowledge—the secrets of creation, angelic mysteries, and the unseen realm. Ancient traditions describe angels who brought knowledge to mankind, yet Scripture and the mystical tradition warn that not every revelation is holy. This study explores two strikingly different examples: the Book of Raziel and the forbidden knowledge of the Watchers , and links their distinction to the account of the Tree of Knowledge in Genesis. Who is Raziel? — Keeper of Divine Mysteries In Jewish mystical tradition Raziel (Hebrew: Raziel , “Secret of God”) is an archangel who stands near the Throne. ...

The Sound Of Victory

The Sound of Victory: Music as God’s Weapon SD The Sound of Victory: Music as God’s Weapon A Bible-based article by Kh. Jwmwi Music is a Weapon and the Power of Victory From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals that music is far more than melody or art. In the hands of God’s people, music becomes a spiritual weapon that confuses enemies, breaks chains, invites God’s presence, and seals victory. When aligned with faith and the Spirit, the sound of worship carries divine authority. 1. Music as a Weapon of Deliverance “And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” — 1 Samuel 16:23 (KJV) David’s harp was more than soothing sound — it carried God’s anointing. The evil spirit troubling Saul could not remain in the...
